The Justin Bieber Blues

Marked large and clear on the old Mercator Maps of the world were areas, some with "There be monsters in These Waters"; some with "Terra Incognito".

Both terms implied severe caution to would-be adventurers

Like many other tender souls before him (including little Miley Cyrus) Bieber was the young celebrity of pure virginal image that would be a be a star that his "teeny" audience could safely follow.

After all was not his mother, Malette, a solid member of her church and had not Justin been brought up in Sunday School?

Sadly, all too true. But after the elders had prayed for him and launched him forth to sail the seven seas, the monsters caught up with him.

Today they relished large parts of their freshly served meal.

Caught speeding in his yellow, $500,000:00 Lamborghini, Bieber resisted arrest, swore at the cop, failed a drug test and was hauled off to jail.

All this before he has reached the age of twenty.

When he gets out of jail, he would be well advised to go back to Canada and attend re-education camp in the church from where  he set forth on his world travels. If he doesn't, more monsters await: guaranteed!

Jubilate.

Harper and the Israeli Knesset

Yesterday, for the first time in history, a Canadian prime minister stood and spoke to the Parliament of Israel.
He did a magnificent job.
Two Arab members of the Knesset angrily denounced Stephen Harper as a stooge of Israel and walked out.
Unperturbed, he continued with his speech, and pledged Canada's unequivocal support for the Middle East's only true democracy.

He then addressed:
1) The mounting hostility towards Israel from the preponderance of countries represented in the U.N. with their calls for boycotts and sanctions.
2) The charges of racism and apartheid that Israel lives with daily from the member nations of the European Union
3) The intellectual bigotry that emanates from Western Universities towards invited speakers from Israel.
4) The constant and ever-growing calls for the destruction of Israel from its surrounding neighbors.

In other words he described the very signs that are given in the Bible that presage the Last Days and the return of Christ to planet Earth.
Well done Stephen Harper. When you received your third standing ovation, I added my own with a tear in my eye.
Jubilate.

The Man with the Million Dollar Arm.

It goes beyond anything that my mind or mathematics can conceive.
That anyone could write up a seven year contract for $258,000,000.  for throwing a baseball!

But, at the tender age of 26, that is exactly what Clayton Kershaw has done with the L.A. Dodgers.

Someone given to statistics has reduced that figure to $10,476;00 for every time he throws a pitch.

"How can this possibly be?" I asked my wife, Pauline. "It simply does not make sense."

I then went to GOOGLE, my unfailing source of information on everything, and read that young Clayton and his wife Ellen, as childhood sweethearts, committed their lives to Christ before ever he was involved in pro-baseball.

It was then that they made their life mission to live out their passion for God in helping others less fortunate than themselves both ON and OFF the field.

Well it looks as if God knew who to entrust the money with.
Clayton and Ellen have founded The Kershaw Challenge, opened orphanages in Zambia, have put their entire salary into the hands of Jesus Christ and are seeing it multiplied like the loaves and fishes to the back rows of humanity around the world.

Hallelujah for Clayton and Ellen!
