Wonder Woman. The New United Nation's Ambassador!

Just when you think you have heard it all you hear something that proves you wrong.
The latest piece of lunacy out from the U.N building in New York is the announcement that Wonder Woman a.k.a. Lynda Carter, has been chosen as the new United Nations Honorary Ambassador.
This out-of-date figure from the Marvel comic era and the lead actor in a series of corny films was elected to this high office in the face of huge protest from the U.N. women's staff.

Listen to their spokeswoman, Christina Gallach:
"On every imaginable level we think she is a poor choice."
The rest of the staff said a loud "Amen"
The lady continued:
"With incredible living models we don't need a mascot or a cartoon figure to represent heroes for women across the world."
"Amen" again from the female choir who stood with their backs turned when Carter was given her award.
But, in the absence of the Virgin Mary and Mother Teresa, just who would fill this exalted position and please everybody on the wide female spectrum?
So, with raucus opposition from many quarters, we now have a new female world ambassador, appropriately dressed in a skin tight spandex suit made of the Stars and Stripes holding a logo for all teenage idols to read:
"THINK OF ALL THE WONDERS YOU CAN DO."
And we all pay for this Vaudeville show with our hard earned tax dollars.

Jubilate.

Ian
