Trump. The unthinkable as it unfolds.

Today the new poll numbers are out, and suddenly Hilary Clinton is looking tired and is showing her age.
The latest figures show her and Donald Trump locked in a dead heat for the White House.
Gone is Clinton's air of invincibility, gone also is the 11 point lead that she was enjoying a month ago. The rigour of the campaign trail and the constant assault of democrat Bernie Sanders have taken a physical and emotional toll on the heir presumptive of the American presidency. Suddenly we may have to wait a few more years before we have a first female president.
But what of Trump himself. Could it possibly be that this billionaire braggart, this architect of a wall between Mexico and the USA, this man who would ban Muslim immigration to America and settle the North Korean issue with some well guided missiles and whose first act as elected president would be to bring back "Merry Christmas" in place of "Happy Holidays." Could it possibly be that we might be seeing "The Donald" as head of the most powerful nation on earth? Surely not, but this is a different day in which we live as was evidenced by what happened in our own Canadian parliament on Thursday. In the revered hall of the commons Prime-Minister Justin Trudeau waded into a melee on the House floor, dropped two "F" bombs and knocked a female M.P flying with an elbow in the chest.
Yes, indeed, and wait for it,  his poll numbers were unaffected. He is still the best thing since oatmeal to the majority of Canadians and that, my friends, is why we are living in a different day.
Better get used to it.

Jubilate.
