GULLIVER. FREED AT LAST

One of my fascinating childhood memories is of a jig-saw puzzle depicting Gulliver (of Gulliver's Travels) pinned to the earth by thousands of tiny cords, his hair staked to the ground while the King of Lilliput stood on his chest brandishing a tiny sword.
Lilliput was the land of the teeny-weeny people and Gulliver had entered their kingdom and fallen asleep only to wake up and find the teenies had trussed him up and made him their prisoner.
Transfer the thought to the present day.
Here is the United States, a mighty Colossus, for years asleep in some sort of dream land while tiny bureaucrats swarmed over him
binding him down with a million rules and regulations while they all enriched themselves with inflated salaries.
On Friday last week while Trump gave his inauguration address, the giant awoke and shook himself.
This week the cords began to be cut by executive orders. The Keystone and the Dakota pipelines were given permits, funding was stopped to over-seas charities giving abortions, Obama Care was weakened by repeal orders, a hiring freeze was imposed on hundreds of government departments, the U.S. pulled out of the Pacific Trade Pact and signal was given that carbon taxes would be rolled back.  All in TWO DAYS.
Are we dreaming?  No folks WE HAVE JUST WOKEN UP and this is the beginning of the Day that the Lord has made.
Jubilate X 10.
