Going, going, gone!

Last week the city of Hampton in Florida, population 450,was voted to be dissolved "with all possible haste."

In 2013,Hampton's mayor, Barry Moore, had been replaced, after been convicted for drug peddling. In a widening investigation, corruption was found at every level of the town hall. City employees were allotted 'take-home' cars and personal records of their salaries and bonus payments have been 'lost in a swamp'.
The water department cannot account for 40 % of the water it pumped and for which taxes were charged.
Meanwhile the Police Chief, giving evidence before a special committee, said, "You could not make this stuff up in a book."
( In his own department there were 17 police cruisers charged with one purpose, to exact "cash register" justice on passing motorists by issuing speeding tickets.)
As of next week Hampton City will be no more.
If only that could be said about Chicago. CNN is running a Robert Redford special next week titled "Chicagoland".
In this heartland city, Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and his council cannot account for $480,000,000:00 of public funds and crime and corruption have turned downtown into a veritable Gotham City.
Years ago the Bible said: "Except the Lord keep the city, the police patrol in vain." Psalm 127 v 1
How true. Hampton went down with one police cruiser for every 30 residents, and Chicago has a list worse than the Titanic with a force of 15,000 officers.
But, take heart. Noah floated a limited company of 8 when the rest of the world went into liquidation!
There is still plenty of room in the New Ark of Jesus for every one who will come!

Jubilate
