yet another dose of political correctness

There are always fresh supplies of political correctness forthcoming in Canada. This week was no exception.

Consider, for instance, the Notre Dame High School in Ottawa. For the past 19 years they have invited the war vets in for a Remembrance Day event. This year, however, the old soldiers have been pronounced 'Personae non grata'.

Why so? Because one neurotic female administrator has deemed that the presence of the vets and their equipment was sending the wrong message to the student body.

"We have a zero tolerance policy towards weapons of any kind in our school, and that includes armoured personnel carriers in the parking lot"

What drivel!

Were it not for these venerable old soldiers who defended our life and liberties in two world wars, the battle wagon in the parking lot would have been a panzer tank and our dear children would have been lined up to salute the swastika!

Lest we forget I'll see you at the Cenotaph on Friday.

Ian
