Did we ever really believe that Iran's vast nuclear program was for peaceful purposes?
News broke at the weekend, from the American defence department, that Israel is planning an air-strike on Iran's atomic kitchen where they have been cooking yellow cake to produce a nuclear bomb.
Already the hand-wringing is beginning, forebodings of a nuclear war, yet another conflict that will pull in the West, the threat to half the world oil supplies in the Persian gulf, the spectre of the whole of the Middle East erupting into violent conflict. Where will it all end?
While the Bible does not supply specific answers, it does tell us that
1) the area of the final battle of the ages will be in the Middle East.
2) Israel will be ultimately victorious.
3) these events, called the "signs of the last days", will herald the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
All in all a reason for believers everywhere to rejoice!
