Israeli elections. Where to now?

The results are in.

Prime minister Bibi and his Centre Right  party are back in the Knesset. However, there is a wild card extremist that has suddenly emerged.

He has the unlikely name of Nafthali Bennett. A dot com billionaire with huge financial and intellectual clout.

He is pictured here alongside Netanyahu but they could scarcely be called friends.

Bennett and his "Jewish Home" party have changed the constellation of Mid-East politics by their far-right agenda.

This involves:
1) Unrestricted development of the West Bank.
2) Scrapping the peace accord with the Palestinians.
3) Abandonment of the two-state solution for the territory of Israel.

In short; a formula for war.

What can we expect in the coming term of the Likud Government.

Certainly another Gaza blow up.  A rejection of any United Nation's involvement in Israeli affairs and, most ominous of all, a pre-emptive strike on Iran's Nuclear facilities.

It is the last prospect that should have us all reading our Bibles to learn about the final outcome.

What ever it may be it WILL BE interesting.

Jubilate.
Ian
