Give us a break!

Seen on a church sign board this week in Pennsylvania:

"Who ever has been praying for snow, PLEASE STOP"

Well, that sign could have been re-written for England, (where half the country is under water) "Who ever is praying for rain, DESIST IMMEDIATELY!" and in California, a church board:

"Pray for Rain. Not for more sunshine!"

This brings a touch of humor to what have turned out to be national disasters.
In England, the Green Party has called for a purge of all climate change skeptics from Parliament. David Cameron, the Prime Minister, has said that "the government is going to do something about all this." Which leads me to the inexorable logic of climate change.
1) If there is no God in charge of the winds of the earth, then the solutions are entirely in the hands of people like Cameron who "is going to do something about it."

2) If there IS a God, He has left us totally in charge of the earth, therefore it is time to hand things back to His control.

3) If there is a God and He is completely in charge of ALL things, then we need to get back to church, humbly seek His Face and repent of our reprobate behavior.

In England, where only 2% of the population is found in church on any one given Sunday, the third solution has the greatest chance of success.  Which brings me to the last church sign:

"What is missing in our CH--CH ........" UR"

Jubilate.
