So what is the REAL problem?

Some time this week, according to the people who do the stats, the number of obese humans on earth exceeded the number of malnourished, for the first time ever.
Both sides check in around the 20% figure.
To the perceptive mind all sorts of questions are now raised.
I will list but a few:
1) What about the theory of Jacob Malthus, who in the 18th century, predicted that when the number of human beings on earth reached one billion there would be mass die-offs due to starvation.
(There are currently 7.5 billion of us)
2) What about the greatest problem facing the human race? According to scientists it is global warming. However, according to the latest numbers, and born out by health experts, the number one killer is heart disease and stroke brought about by over weight.
3) If all the under nourished people in the world could line up opposite their chubby counter parts, one on one, what question do you think they would ask?
4) Furthermore, what is the question do you think God is asking of the whole benighted human race at this time?

Ah! I think I have a clue. Luke 16 and the parable of the Rich man and the beggar comes to mind. Do you think this problem and its solution could come down to one man who fared sumptuously and the other who begged for scraps at his gate?
Why don't you read the passage and see what you think?

Jubilate.
