Tuning in

Our theme this week is "Being Tuned In".

In our technological world we are using terms that a hundred years ago would have left men mystified.

One of the commonest is "Being tuned in" which simply means , turning the dial until the message comes through loud and clear.

Tuning in.

Corrie Ten Boom, a dutch survivor from the Holocaust, was due to fly to America for a speaking engagement. The day before her trip she felt the Lord warning her not to take the flight. The plane crashed.

When she arrived in the U.S.A. she recounted her story about the voice that warned her about the fatal flight.

Someone in the audience called out "Why didn't He warn everybody?"

Ten Boom replied, "Maybe He did, but they weren't listening!"


Have you ever observed that there are eleven commandments not ten? The first commandment is "Tune in O Israel"
