In fact, the more enterprising of the tailors of women's head wear are changing their product line to running shoes and base-ball caps.
Even with the slinkiest of silks and the brightest of colors it seems that the Kabul ladies are not to be tempted back into their full-length tents.
Images on mobile phones, lap-tops and T.V.'s have shown the Afghan women some exciting styles that are out there and they are hanging up their stone-age sacks en-masse.
Where will it all end? Hopefully not as far as Lady Gaga or Madonna, but at least let these ladies enjoy their new taste of freedom.
Kick up your heels ladies and thank our soldiers who made it happen.
